TP troubles

Here we have the approach
and the execution. She seems a little unsure as to why this is being allowed.
Now some people may wonder why we have been keeping our toilet paper in bags in the bathroom instead of on the roll where it belongs but, as I am sure many mothers can attest, there is some unknown bond between toddlers and toilet paper and Phoebe has been happily discovering her new found friend. It's fun, soft, she can tear it quite easily, and it follows her everywhere! It is truly one of the best friends a girl could have. I think she must like the idea of being... rapped in something billowy.

Tooth Fairy Tales

Livvy is thrilled! She just had her first visit from the Tooth Fairy a couple of days ago She was rather worried about mom taking it out, but after it was done she was very excited about putting her tooth under her pillow and the whole bit :) Since then she has already asked me whether or not the Tooth Fairy was real. I told her that if you don't believe in her that the Tooth Fairy stops coming, at which time she, of course, pronounced her firm belief in the beautiful Fairy that lives in a Castle of baby teeth and quarters. Here she is sporting her 2nd lost tooth of just this morning. After losing her tooth, and showing me how she could stick her tongue through the large whole left there, she promptly put her tooth in an envelope and had me write on the outside

"Tooth Fairy
I would like some
quarters and dollars ( and upon my prompting) Please

I don't know for sure but I don't think the Tooth Fairy leaves quite that much money for a tooth. I guess we'll find out tonight. Hopefully the Tooth Fairy will be feeling generous tonight. hmmmm.....

These are my girls after the long awaited dental appointment yesterday :) Livvys first words after coming out of the check up were "Can we come back?" So I'd say it went well. :)
Of course I'd say that before I had talked to the nurse. Oh well I'm apparently going to have to be more dedicated to dental hygiene than I've been in my whole life.... that stance has been apparently catching up with me as well though.... I'm going to the dentist this afternoon *cringe* I still hold to the fact that they must have their father's teeth because at this point (Livvy's still got some growing and changing teeth wise :) ) they will probably both need some type of mouth/teeth apparatus. Yuck! Can't wait for Layna's appointment on Thurs. Oh and here's a picture of our future braces baby.... ..... cross your fingers for us. Oh and Livvy's 2 bottom front teeth are incredibly wiggly, if you look close it kinda looks like she's already lost one it's just seriously leaning.

A site add you may not notice

Ya, just incase you want to know, I added birthday tickers at the bottom of the page. I couldn't fit them in the sidebar. They only half showed up :) So check 'em out every so often if you want and if you have any advice on getting them to show up or overlap in the sidebar I'd love to have it!
Love ya, hill

OK were past that now!

These are not my swimmers, but my sprinkler players! I turned the sprinklers on for the standard 20 min setting and it just wasn't enough, but they loved it!

Gosh, Natalie can really make you stop and think :)

So I totally missed Nat's post until now, and Geez when you don't think about how good we had it and you're just learning about how hard it must have been to do all that for all of us, you kinda forget that it's my job now to provide that for all these little guys. It's strange to think of all the things we did as children and to realize how old my kids are getting and how short a time we have them. I suppose that really is our job to give them those memories and fill their time with us, with joy. How scary it can be wondering if they will love us and eachother, when this is all said and done, the way we love our parents and siblings. Is it possible? Because our love is so great and so many things are different than they were. Each circumstance changes and then tomorrow it changes again. It's hard not to be selfish with my time, my love, and my life, after all it's mine! But if I do not share my time with them it's not "Who will?", but that someone else will and, then, they will then not want my love, and my life will truly be my own because they will not want it either. I can hear mom whispering in my ear that this is my job and these are my life and my loves. I can hear mom telling me don't sweat the small stuff, it's only a blanket after all. Although at the moment it may be that it's only dinner, or my clean floor, or the 8 cups of sugar I just finished measuring. :) I do love them and I hope they remember that when they are grown, because for me, at this point, as I read Nat's post the places were wonderful and nothing could replace those, but what I remember right now was Mom & Dad loving us enough to take afternoon's, days, and weeks of "there life's" and giving that to us, and loving us all the more for it. If only I could be like that. :) (smile through the tears... after all if you don't laugh you'll cry:) ) I'll keep trying.

Fruits and messes of my labors:)

So Sarah had her beautiful pics of canning and Alex came home with 2 large cases of plums... ( that was aside from the ice cream & donuts :) ) so we decided to make plum jelly. Which turned into plum jam, syrup, & butter... but, half way into the first batch it just wouldn't boil so I checked the blogs, shortly after that I heard a loud sizzling.... here's what happened.... ...Needless to say I was a little discouraged, but I took my pictures... ...And we moved on :) It took me awhile to figure out everything I needed and the process to use and the recipes but I did it and here is the beautiful fruits of my labors picture! :) Happy day :)
